24/05/2018 - Zanotta
presents the brand-new designs developed in collaboration with established international designers, some new editions of historic products by two masters - Achille Castiglioni
and Carlo Mollino
- and an updated range of fabrics, finishes, materials and colour palettes for the collections already in the catalogue.
There are five new products: the Louise
armchair by Philippe Nigro, a visual silhouette based on the assembly of wooden components; the Elipse
chair by Patrick Jouin, a witty, empathic item; the Hiro
sofa by Damian Williamson, marked by an essential, contemporary design; and two products from Ludovica+Roberto Palomba - the Kim
sofa, a soft volume raised off the ground, and Noli
, an archetypal crafted Italian chair revisited in the essential quality of its elements and clarity of form.
The new designs express Zanotta’s capacity to welcome contemporary idioms and make them their own, but also to recognise the reference models in the history of design to be recreated for contemporary living.
Also the brand-new colours proposed play a key role, from the shades of coral, amaranth, mustard and light blue to the lighter mustard yellow, sage green and rose-brick, extending to the bolder shades of burgundy, navy blue, anthracite, ash, black and white.
For the upholstered items, the choice is focused on natural fibres with mottled wool (Tilia), which lends an elegant sartorial effect, a melange cotton and linen weave (Tito), which evokes freshness and a highly structured ‘panama canvas’ (Vico) and a 100% cotton velvet (Top) representing the top of the range.
